Airpod are wireless Bluetooth earbuds electronic devices created by APPLE. They were first released to the market in December 13, 2016.they are used to play audio music. Air pods also have some distinct inbuilt features such as a built-in microphone that filters out background noise. This feature allows taking phone calls and talking to Apple’s digital assistant. Additionally, they have built-in accelerometers as well as optical sensors can detect taps double-tap to pause audio and in-ear placement, which enables automatic pausing when they are taken out of the ears.
Air Pods are compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, including Android devices, although certain features such as automatic switching between devices are only available on Apple devices using iCloud. Air Pods have full functionality with the following devices:
- iPhone 5 or newer and running on iOS 10 or later
- Not lower than iPod Touch 6th generation and running on iOS 10 or later
- Macs running macOS Sierra or later
- Apple TV 4th generation or newer

Airpod 1
AirPod 1 was released by Apple in the year 2016. It is basically used to play audio music. Its specification is as follows.

Airpod 2
The second generation of the Air pod was announced on March 20, 2019, by Apple, and is much improved than Air pod 1. they have an H1 processor which supports hands-free “Hey Siri” Bluetooth 5 connectivity, and its manufacturer Apple claims that it has 20% more talk time and faster device connection time.
Announce Messages with Siri” was added in which allows Siri to dictate and reply to text messages. The second-generation Air pod can be bought with the same charging case as the 1st generation Air pod.

Comparison Between Airpod 1 And Airpod 2
- When fully charged, the battery of Airpod 1 will last for two hours despite talking continuously. On the other hand, that of Airpod 2 will last for 3 hours,
- While listening to music, the battery life for both Airpod 1 and Airpod 2 is 5 hours.
- Airpod 2 has a family chipset H1, while that of Airpod 1 has a family chipset W1, this gives Airpod 2 a higher processing speed.
- The Bluetooth version for both devices vary. For Airpod 1, the Bluetooth version is 4.2, while that of Airpod 2 is 5.0.
- The IOS requirement for Airpod 1 is IOS 10 or later, while that of Airpod 2 is IOS 12.2 or a later version.

- The macOS system requirements for Airpod 2 is High Sierra or later, while that of Airpod 1 is macOS 10.14.4 or later.

After a keen study about the two devices the Ai rpods 1 and Air pods 2, I have seen some similarities and some differences in both the hardware and software elements’ example, there is a difference between the Bluetooth version of both Air pod 1 and Airpo2. Although there are no physical differences and also their price remains the same.
AirPods 2 is equipped with an updated H1 chip, which replaces the W1 chip and brings connectivity improvements. AirPods connect more quickly to your devices for an even more hassle-free experience, and switching between devices while listening to music is now two times faster. The H1 chip in the second-generation AirPods supports Bluetooth 5.0, which should bring better range than that of Airpod 1
AirPods 2 now supports hands-free “Hey Siri” functionality, allowing users to control volume and swap songs through voice commands, so there’s no longer a need to tap on the AirPods with a finger to activate Siri in this version. Air pod 2 has a higher and stronger Bluetooth. Airpod 2 is definitely and with no doubt, is better than Air pod 1.
